Training that transforms

The more knowledge we have, the more capable we will be, developing ourselves personally and professionally.

Andrea Chaverra, from Colombia, shared her thoughts on the need of constant training, and Roberto Girón, from Guatemala, talked about an unforgettable training session. Check it out!

Training session in Colombia: we can only progress with knowledge

“Education is not preparation for life; it is life itself.”

John Dewey, American philosopher and pedagogue (1859-1952)

“Personal and professional development provides us with knowledge, but also skills and confidence in our routine. Having continuous learning helps us build a precise pathway in this world where change and evolution are constant, always strive to be.

The labour market is at an accelerated pace, and companies are facing an extremely competitive scenario. That is why we must prepare to face the challenges related to technical competencies and social skills.

At STIHL, we receive continuous training. Knowledge on the brand and products gives us a sense of belonging and increases our capabilities.

Thanks to this education, we will be able to successfully reach the goals we have established and face new challenges. This has a positive impact on our work motivation and personal satisfaction.”

Andrea Chaverra, STIHL Marketing Manager Colombia

Train the Trainer Seminar held in Brazil left a strong impression on the team from Guatemala

“In October 2016, we were invited to attend the Forestry course: Train the Trainer, divided in two parts: the first one at the São Leopoldo STIHL factory and the second one in São Francisco de Paula and at the company Reflorestadores Unidos S.A.

In my opinion, the seminar was very well done, under the supervision of our dear Paulo Serpe, together with several colleagues from STIHL, as well as many representatives from importers.

Even though I have already participated in several courses and different types of conventions with dealers in Latin America, this one left a strong impression on me because we learned the theory, practiced with the machines, worked on safety issues, but above all we had the opportunity to experience the activities of a forestry worker. It was an interesting and very successful mix. These experiences allow us to understand and take the knowledge acquired to third parties, benefiting our work on a daily basis. Thank you STIHL!

Roberto Girón, Director of Comeca, in Guatemala
